Government Funding Free Kinder:

The Victorian Government has stated that kindergarten will be free for every child attending a participating kindergarten. North Kew Kinder has 'opted in' for participation in this initiative and we will be offering Free Kinder for all our families, in both 3 & 4year old programs, from 2023.

Government Funding Support For 4-YO Kinder:

Funding support is provided by the Victorian Government, in the form of a per capita subsidy for children in a 15 hour weekly 4year-old program. 4year old program hours must be increased to a total of 30 hours per week by 2032.

Government Funding Support For 3-YO Kinder:

Funding support is provided by the Victorian Government, in the form of a pro-rated per capita subsidy for children in a 5 - 15hour weekly 3year-old program. 3year old program hours must be increase to a total of 15 hours per week by 2029.

Family Contributions

Due to the slight gap between the funding provided by the Free Kinder program and the cost of running a high-quality service, we ask NKK families to consider a voluntary donation of $150 per term (or as a lump sum). We welcome that families may pay more, less, or none at all depending on their circumstance. We promise that all children will receive the same level of education and care, regardless of any contributions made by families.
